Spend a lot of money like Messi
“Recent rumors that Neymar will move to the United States to play for Inter Miami with Messi and Suarez in early 2025 have been further reinforced as the 32-year-old striker has just completed the purchase of a $26 million waterfront property in Bal Harbour in Miami,” the Miami Herald reported on October 30.
“This is a record price for a valuable piece of land in Bal Harbour. Neymar just bought a vacant lot in the area. The lot is located in the Intracoastal and comes with approved plans for a large home designed by Elicyon, a prestigious London-based company,” an unnamed real estate insider told the Miami Herald .
This move shows that Neymar is preparing for the possibility of moving to the US to live and play for the next stage of his career, the Miami Herald reported.
Neymar was last in the United States during the Copa America in June and July, where he watched some matches, and attended the Miami Open tennis tournament and other sporting events.
The 32-year-old Brazilian striker is enjoying life in South Florida, especially in Miami, where his former Barcelona teammates Messi, Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba are playing for Inter Miami, according to the Miami Herald .
David Beckham warm welcome
In March this year, David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, who is the co-owner of Inter Miami, were also seen having dinner with Neymar at a restaurant in Miami. Afterwards, David Beckham wrote on Instagram a meaningful status: “Welcome to Miami my friend, just for dinner”, along with a photo of Neymar standing next to David Beckham and his wife, Victoria.
“This is the first sign that David Beckham is planning to bring Neymar to Inter Miami. Previously, when planning to recruit Messi, David Beckham also took steps one by one and started from the smallest interests, even from life, to convince the Argentine player.
Now, with Neymar, who has decided to choose life in the US because he feels it is suitable, it will be a big step for him to join Inter Miami with his close friends like Messi and Suarez,” the Miami Herald emphasized.
Neymar still has a contract with Al Hilal until June 2025, with a salary of up to 80 million USD/year. However, after more than 1 year of long-term absence due to injury and just returning to play, he is no longer interested in keeping by the team’s leadership.
According to journalist Tariq Al Nofal in Saudi Arabia, Al Hilal Club is “ready for the idea of letting Neymar leave” as early as 2025 when the winter transfer window opens, in order to recoup part of the cost of recruiting this striker from PSG Club (August 2023 with a fee of 97.3 million USD).
Journalist Tariq Al Nofal also revealed: “Inter Miami has secretly negotiated with Al Hilal about a potential transfer for Neymar’s possible departure. If the cost is too great, David Beckham’s team can completely wait for Neymar in the summer of 2025 when this player’s contract expires and recruit him on a free transfer.”
