A young dog was hit by a car and remained stranded in the snow for 12 hours, unable to move due to her shattered pelvis. The incident took place in a town in northern Alberta, Canada, where temperatures were below freezing, leaving little hope for survival. Fortunately, a group of teenagers spotted the puppy and contacted the AB Task Force, who then reached out to the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS). After spending almost half a day alone and freezing, the dog was eventually rescued and taken to SAVEvet by AARCS. According to their report, the puppy’s body heat melted the snow around her as she waited for help.
Nutmeg, the adorable puppy, was overjoyed to encounter the kind-hearted individuals who came to her rescue upon discovery.
AARCS recently mentioned that Nutmeg, who is in the process of recovering from a fractured pelvis, will have to stay confined to her crate for a period of six weeks. In light of this, AARCS has recommended providing Nutmeg with ample treats, affection, and gentle back rubs to help keep her comfortable during this time.
