Ferrari first unveiled its track-focused 488 variant at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018. Given the nickname “Pista,” which translated from Italian means “track,” the latest version of Ferrari’s mid-engined V8 it’s faster than ever and pays homage to the manufacturer’s remarkable motorsport heritage.

The 488 Pista is powered by a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine, which can generate an impressive 710 horsepower at 8000 rpm and 568 pound-feet of torque at 3000 rpm thanks to its configuration of twin turbo. This results in remarkable performance figures, including 0-100 km/h in 2.85 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h. 
The 49 horsepower and 7 pound-feet of torque increase over the standard 488 GTB model is achieved by borrowing parts from the 488 Challenge race car engine, such as Inconel exhaust manifolds, reinforced pistons, a larger intercooler and a new camshaft.
