Caring locals saw a homeless dog wandering the streets, but no one could get close enough to catch him. They left out food and water for the scared pup but knew it wasn’t enough. The Good Samaritans reached out to Hope For Paws for help.
When rescuers, Loretta and Eldad, arrived and saw the dog, he continued to run. Eldad got close enough to reach out his hand, hoping the pup would come to him. But it was useless; the dog just turned and ran away again. They were told that the dog goes to the same yard to rest at night, so they took a chance and headed over at dusk.
Eldad told the homeowner to close the backyard gate and see if they could finally catch him. With hearts pounding, the rescuers made their way towards him. The frightened pup was wedged up in the corner, hiding behind a heap of the homeowner’s belongings. Loretta approached him with a gentle snare.
