The taipan is a sophisticated predator in the animal kingdom. Referred to as the “serial killer” of snakes, it boasts the highest venom potency and quickest movement of any venomous terrestrial snake. At an average length of 2 meters, the taipan can dart at lightning-fast speeds and deliver a rapid bite in just three to three and a half seconds.
The taipan is not only highly toxic, but it also has an aggressive and hostile temperament, attacking even when slightly irritated. On the other hand, the cobra is less easily provoked and its venom is not as potent as the taipan’s. So why is the cobra considered the queen of snakes? It’s because the king cobra, the largest species of cobra, often preys on other snakes, including venomous ones.
With an average length of about 4 meters, this snake is the largest venomous snake on earth. However, it is resistant to its own toxicity and does not get irritated as easily as taipan. In the confrontation between the royal cobra and another species of snake, the fight is a great one.
Snakes often try to fight back by biting and even aiming at their opponent’s eyes, but the royal cobra has excellent resistance to venom.
