Lionel Messi is said to not attend the ceremony to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of FC Barcelona.
In a recent revelation from PBHN, Messi will not attend Barcelona’s birthday celebration on November 29. In addition, the former Barca star also has a schedule to compete in the MLS playoffs, so flying to Spain is unlikely.
Barcelona are preparing to celebrate their 125th anniversary with the release of a tribute video showcasing the club’s greatest achievements.
The video features a host of celebrities including Bakero, Bojan, Rijkaard, Koeman’s iconic goal, Alexia, Audie Norris, Pep Guardiola, Iniesta, Laporta and Lamine Yamal.
However, it was surprising not to see a picture of Messi, who is considered the greatest footballer of all time and has been a key factor in the club’s success over the past two decades.
Regarding Messi, the Argentine star has yet to win the Golden Foot award, after an unbelievable defeat against compatriot Lautaro Martinez.
The Golden Foot Awards are international football awards given to players who have distinguished themselves for their sporting achievements and character. The awards are given to active players who are at least 28 years old and each player can only receive them once in their career.
Messi is in good form, scoring 22 goals and providing 13 assists in 23 matches for Inter Miami FC. But in the end, M10 still “missed” the victory. The winner was Messi’s teammate in the Argentina national team – Lautaro Martinez.
